Matthew D. Kaiser is an attorney at Global Sports Advocates, a law firm recognized by Chambers USA and Who’s Who Legal as one of the world’s leaders for sports law. In his practice, Matt protects athletes’ rights and guides governing bodies through the challenging regulatory framework of international sport. Most recently, he assisted in successfully proving an athlete’s positive test for a prohibited substance came from contaminated meat. The athlete’s 4-year ban was overturned, and he was made immediately eligible to compete. Matt has published a number of articles and been a panelist at conferences around the world, including the 2019 AIAC’s International Sports Law Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he spoke on the topic of Gender and Race in sport, and the 2018 ISLJ Annual International Sports Law Conference at The Hague, Netherlands, where he presented his article “How athletes’ rights can be better protected when it comes to retroactive Therapeutic Use Exemptions”.
